Rather than having to look at the table of contents of journals when they are published, you can request to be notified when new issues are published.  Many publishers provide free access to journal tables-of-contents and/or alerting services.  Some publishers also allow you to receive alerts based on keywords.  Check individual publisher web sites for specific journals not covered by the services listed below. Many more publishers are now providing RSS feeds as well.

Intute: Intute is a free British online service providing access to the very best web resources for education and research.
